What will a Rapunzel Girl pack for her Honeymoon?

I am so excited about my upcoming honeymoon to the beautiful Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico! I have been eagerly shopping for resort style dresses, tunics and tops to stock my suitcase with. I am lucky enough to have so many options at my fingertips. Here are some of my favorites from ShopRapunzels.com! I just bought this Frenzii Long Pleated Tube Dress in pistachio and I think it’s perfect for one of the many outdoor dinners we will be having! I’ll probably pair it with turquoise and gold earrings or possibly a long chain pendant necklace. The color is vivid and fresh - perfect for Mexico!

Worn over my bikini, the Splendid Dip Dye Silk Tunic will work great for roaming the Resort grounds with. Of course I’ll be bringing my “oh so comfy” Havaianas Flip Flops!

This Rachel Pally Dylan Ruffle Dress is the perfect “little black dress” for Mexico. Its not too fancy and the ruffles remind me of Salsa dancing!

Rapunzel's and the Summer Buy

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend the Intermezzo show at the Javits Center in New York City. Unfortunately the shows were a little slower than normal - but the bright colors and new fashions were abundent.

Hot pinks, corals and yellow were popular at every booth. The maxi dress is making a big statement this summer and so is the harem pant. Rapunzel has passed on the harem trend for now - but you never know when I might jump on that bandwagon. Afterall - Rapunzel's Closet is located in a resort town - what a great beach pant.

Racerback tank tops were as popular for summer as they were for spring which of course leads me to want to give our sales staff a really good education on suggesting the appropriate undergarments to wear with these tanks - convertible bras ladies - they are the way of the fashion future!

Destroyed denim is still going strong for summer and the boyfriend jean is a great hot weather alternative to a full length jean.

Long, feather weight "boyfriend" cardigans are a summer staple for the cold air conditioning and what fashionable girl doesn't have a Love Quotes Scarf in every color to fight off those chilly summer evenings.

I just looked at the weather report and it's going to be below 30 degrees up North. I know I'm looking forward to summer's vibrant colors and easy-to-wear fashions. We're eight weeks away from the start of spring so summer is practically right around the corner.

A Note from Newman of Newman's Closet

Newman H. Siegal here, writing my first entry for the ShopRapunzels.com’s blog. Let me start by introducing myself.

I’m a 5 ½ year-old, 6 lb red toy poodle; and I’m owner Randi Siegal’s first child. You know my mom, she’s always wearing Juicy Couture track pants and a Splendid tank top. I’ve got a wonderful daddy, Sam, and a new baby brother, Brett.

I’ve attached a picture of myself and my Uncle Woody from this year’s Palm Beach Pet Society magazine. We took this outside the Rapunzel’s Closet store on S. County Road in Palm Beach, FL. I think the picture came out pretty good, right?

I love to work at the stores, and I greet all the customers. I’m a big fan of our pet products from Juicy Couture, and so we’ve named that section of the store Newman’s Closet. In fact, we even have some cashmere sweaters from Minnie Rose, and my mom wears the adult versions!

Anyway, I hear my mom calling. Gotta go eat my duck and potato for dinner.
